28th ICCRTS Virtual Option
We strongly encourage – even urge – participants to attend the 28th ICCRTS in-person because of the enormous benefits of face-to-face interactions and the informal hallway discussions that take place. However, we recognize that international travel may not be a viable option for some. Accordingly, we have made arrangements for a ‘hybrid’ meeting (in-person with a virtual component) that will allow for virtual presentations and limited participation. To ensure a smooth running meeting, we require that all virtual presentations be pre-recorded and that the virtual presenter be available for live Q&A after their paper is presented. Virtual participants will not have screen sharing enabled but will be able to participate in Q&A sessions when recognized by the chair. This has the added benefit of our being prepared, if for whatever reason an in-person meeting becomes problematic, to switch at any time to an all-virtual event. The registration fee will be the same for both in-person and virtual participants as there are different but comparable costs associated with each type of participation.
